With Minds Matter Initiative, you can find various ways of helping seniors who struggle with Alzheimer's and Dementia across the United States. Our chapter has facilitated many volunteering opportunities. Each service allows our members to help the people in different ways through communication, mentorship, journalism, and advocacy.

Fundraising
Our chapter initiated a community raffle, employing door-to-door promotion to collect donations and raise awareness about our mission. Through this fundraising event our chapter was able to raise $100+, and spread information about the effects of Alzheimer's to over 70 residential homes.

Service
We have partnered with multiple assisted living facilities to provide support and care to those with Alzheimer's. We run different events in coordination with the home’s activity directors to engage the seniors, which includes running bingo sessions, board games, painting, trivia, live music, and more.

Research
We regularly post in-depth blog posts providing niche scientific information about Alzheimer's, each aimed to spread knowledge and raise awareness about the disease. These blog posts are centered on a variety of topics, but all focus back to the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing research on Alzheimer's.
